About Me

I have always loved animals especially dogs, I can’t remember a time growing up when we haven’t had a four legged family member.

Following a career in the military and medical retirement from the police force I decided to qualify as a dog groomer due to my love of dogs and especially my own.... Harvey.

After completing my City and Guilds level 2 I worked for 2 years as a grooming assistant in a busy salon. During this time I completed my Level 3 and qualified as a groomer.

It was at this stage I became self employed renting a table and established Harvey’s Hounds Dog Grooming, developing my new skills and knowledge.

The learning process in grooming is never ending, over the past 5 years I have regularly attended seminars, trade shows, and even dipped my toe into the world of competitive grooming where I achieved third place in the novice handstrip category, Salon Groomer of the Year.
